The Sound World is a not-for profit organization whose sole purpose is to give the gift of sound to deaf children all over the world.

The Sound World works with top surgeons to provide Cochlear implants to disadvantaged children who would otherwise never be able to hear.

The Sound World is also the only independent organization in the world to provide ongoing post surgery rehabilitation (Abilitation) to help these children integrate into their new Sound World.

16/02/10 The Sound World’s second child has his “Switch On” day.

Roma Starodubov, a 13 year old boy from Atlay Region in East Russia, had his “switch on day” today. Tears flowed as Roma’s grandmother watched her grandson’s transformation.
